HISTORY OF SUYO

Suyo has originated from the word “Suyod” w/c means a tool that is use  in plowing.Long time ago an American tourist visited the place. He met a man who was holding a “Suyod” .He then ask the man if what was the name of the place. Then the latter answered “Suyod” because what he understood  was, the tourist was asking about the tool  he was holding. Suyo! the American exclaimed. What he understood was Suyo. They then called the place Suyo.

LOCATION:Barangay Suyo is located at the Southern part of Sagada.

POPULATION: According to the census as of 2009, Suyo has 756 population.

TRANSPORTATION: You can reach Suyo by riding on  a jeep(20 minutes ride).You can also walk if you want and it will only take 1 hr. before you reach the place.
